37ο ΣΥΝΕΔΡΙΟ ΤΗΣ UMEMPS (UNIΟΝ OF MIDDLE EAST AND MEDITERRANEAN PAEDIATRIC SOCIETIES)

Dear Members of the UMEMPS, Dear Colleagues,

In my capacity as the President of the 37th UMEMPS Congress, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you in Cyprus. The Congress returns here 20 years after the first time it was successfully organised on the island.

The Congress' theme "Optimizing holistic paediatric care", has been chosen to reflect upon the constant changes we, as specialists, encounter both at our daily practice and within a scientific spectrum, as well as a society in general, at multiple levels.

Focusing on all areas of paediatrics, we have taken on a promise to provide a scientific programme that will include the most updated and innovative lectures, symposiums and meet-the-expert sessions developed in accordance with the vastly growing medical knowledge. These will be presented through the eyes and expertise of distinguished speakers who will share their knowledge and experience. Furthermore, this Congress will be a unique opportunity for Paediatricians from the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Countries to meet, network and discuss their common interests.

Besides the main purpose of the Congress, there is plenty for you to enjoy and discover in Cyprus during your staying here: Warm weather, bright sunny days and the endless blue Mediterranean sea, the beauties and history of the island, picturesque traditional wine villages and well known archaeological sites of great significance.  

I look forward to welcoming you in our charming and beautiful island for an inspiring experience that we hope to remain memorable to the participants of the 37th UMEMPS Congress.
